Elemental Nature - Outdoor Dancing

Brown Photo Minimalism DIY Influencer Facebook Post Set copy 6.png

WHAT:
Elemental Nature is an outdoor communal dance space where folks can attune to natural rhythms, explore body/heart/soul in relationship to Life, and move in conscious, creative ways.

Together we create a space that is open, flexible, and fluid while also getting to the heart of direct experiences that explore what it means to show up and be part of an embodied, emergent community. Part structure, part free form, sessions may include moments of facilitated movement/dance, somatic witnessing, inquiry, and group sharing.

Sessions will be cancelled due to rain.

WHEN:
Every other Tuesday evening through August 6:00-7:30pm CST
June 1, 15 & 29
July 13 & 27
August 10 & 24

WHERE:
Hidden Falls Regional Park - north entrance
1313 Hidden Falls Drive - St Paul, MN, 55116

DONATIONS:
Whese these sessions are FREE, donations are warmly welcome

Suggested $5-20 via paypal.me/wearerising

$10 – Standard: covers my costs

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:
-Parking is available at the Picnic Pavilion or further down if spaces are taken. Give yourself 5 minutes to walk to the dance area, which is in the small valley just down from the picnic pavilion.
-It is a gift and beautiful exploration to bring our practice to the land, yet moving in public means people may pass nearby, observe your movement, and/or take photographs. Our container becomes more permeable, less defined, and for some, a bit more vulnerable. If this distracts you from your practice, I invite you to stay present as witness.
-I suggest bringing water, repellant, and layers for changes in temperature.
-If a chance of rain is forecasted, class will be canceled.

Additional notes on Covid-19:
We are still living in Covid times and each have varying levels of comfort with contact. While human connection is fundamental to personal and collective wellbeing, I am asking folks to refrain from attending if you have flu-like symptoms (including fever, cough or difficultly breathing) or if you have had physical contact with a person currently under investigation for COVID-19.

Embodying and sharing joy, creativity, kindness and love are critical dimensions of our practice. And while we explore what it means to share physical space in new ways, I invite you to consider how co-regulation can occur through a gaze, and how connection can be felt energetically in the spaces between us. Play with space. Attune to subtler forms of connection. Allow the earth and trees, plants and air to be your partner. Establish clear consent before making contact with another.
