I am a lover of beauty, wonder and awe - a seeker of grace, connection and loving presence. My greatest teacher is my life and my pathway to understanding is my body.
As a child there was nothing sweeter or more satisfying to my soul than dancing. I was often found moving through meadows and fields, across dance floors or recital halls. Movement was my sanctuary - the place I turned to, again and again, to reconnect with the joy of uninhibited movement and the deep peace of BEing in my body. Read more...
In my late 20s I began a journey that would take me into the depths of embodied healing, spiritual inquiry, earth-based wisdom, community engagement, and movement as a path of liberation. I came to realize that, for me, life deepens and transforms through continued inquiry and direct experiences that are grounded IN life, IN the body, IN relationship.
As a Certified Dancing Freedom Facilitator, Open Floor Teacher, and Soul-Based Coach I have been profoundly blessed, inspired and influenced by the wisdom of the body, a deep connection with nature, daily opportunities to relate and grow as a mother, partner, facilitator and friend, and continued studies in practices that inform and empower my own living.

Deciding to work with Teresa is a gift of love to yourself that I don’t hesitate to recommend! (More testimonials)
As the steward of Rooted and Rising, I am continually listening, responding, and anchoring practices that advocate en-LIFE-enment...that support others in evoking their full participation with the lives they are living. I blend my love for dance, somatic inquiry, archetypal and depth psychology, earth based wisdom, and whole systems healing into powerful, embodied explorations of deep purpose to awaken awareness, summon resilience and choice, and welcome wholeness home.
Having lived a life guided by curiosity, wonder, and in close relationship with natural rhythms, I have learned to trust the ancient wisdom of my body, rest in the questions rather than the answers, and contemplate rather than claim to know. I continue to foster this way of being by turning toward resources that have transformed my relationship to Life: conscious dance, weaving ritual, connecting with nature, and activating imagination through authentic movement, metaphor, and art.
It would be my great honor to share and dream and dance alongside you as we grow and learn and step onto paths of greater freedom, vitality, and creative potential.
Join me in group classes, workshops or individual coaching sessions both in St. Paul/Minneapolis, MN and across the globe (via Skype).
I will not die an un-lived life.
I will not live in fear
of falling or catching fire.
I choose to inhabit my days,
to allow my living to open me,
to make me less afraid,
to loosen my heart
until it becomes a wing,
a torch, a promise.
I choose to risk my significance,
to live so that which came to me as seed
goes to the next as blossom,
and that which came to me as blossom,
goes on as fruit.
